I have never played XBOX but Im very familiar with Playstation.(have a PSP) To me It looks like the whole playstation is better.
1.) PSN it has Friends,HOME,PS store, Its own TV show.(AKA Pulse)
2.) Blu-Ray
3.) Forums,Contests,Blog.
4.) Ability to download MOVIES directly from the PS store.
5.) Free Internet surfing,Free online Gaming portable PSN ID.
6.) PSP SKYPE Free PSP to PSP/computer calls.
7.) Replaceable HDD.
8.) Remote Play. With PSP.
Remember I have no IDEA of Xbox and what it has I am just basing this off of what Ive seen on Playstation. For all I know Xbox may be better. So please dont post disrespectful comments. Thanks.
PS3 is really more of a computer than game console. Because of this, it offers more to do with it as well as offers great flexibility with hard drive upgrades and USB devices like any other computer. Has better graphics when it comes to exclusives. Goes full HD resolutions. Has more potential and a brighter future due to the Blu-Ray technology. Cheaper to own overtime when you consider the extras involved. Very low failure rate.
Xbox is good. Tends to have the better online play (you get what you pay for). Tends to have better gameplay and graphics with multiplatform games since the 360 was the focal point during game development (gradually switching to PS3 though). Much higher failure rate than the PS3, even after the improvements Microsoft has made. Not as flexible with upgrades and extras (Gotta buy Microsoft stuff).
Run a search. This debate has been going on for years and you’ll find tons of opinions and data.
